Featured Project
El Prado Park Revitalization
El Prado Park marked the beginning of Valley Green Initiatives' mission to create greener, more welcoming public spaces throughout Phoenix. Working alongside the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department, approximately 30 volunteers came together to address park maintenance needs, improve recreational facilities, and expand tree cover.
The goal was to create a more welcoming space where children and families could enjoy outdoor activity and recreation.

Project Impact
One Park. One Tree. One Stronger Community at a Time.
The El Prado Park project demonstrated how volunteers, city staff, and community members can work together to improve public spaces.
What began as a community pilot project helped inspire a broader mission to revitalize parks throughout underserved Phoenix neighborhoods.
Through Valley Green Initiatives, we hope to build on this foundation by organizing future projects, expanding partnerships, and creating more opportunities for community involvement.
